The thought does not have to survive the drive home

Press the shortcut and the panel opens over whatever you were looking at: type the note, press the button, carry on. Open it from inside a project and the note is already filed under that job.

It takes a whole list too. Paste one thought per line and each line becomes its own note, which is what the walk round a site actually produces.

A note with a date is a note you will not miss

Give a note a day, and a time if it needs one, and Wyroo comes to you: a notification in the app, an email, and a browser push if you have those on. Notes with a reminder sit at the top of your list, the overdue ones flagged.

Each reminder fires once. Tick the note off before its time and it never fires at all, so nothing nags you about work you already did.

Your list is yours, the board is the team's

Filing a note under a project does not publish it. The project name is there so you remember which job the note belongs to; everyone else on that job sees nothing. There is no shared view of your notes, no digest that leaks them, no admin screen that lists them.

And when a note turns out to be work for other people, one step moves it: pick the project, and the card lands at the top of its first column and opens, ready for an owner and a deadline. The note ticks itself off and keeps a link to the card it became, so the trail back is still there in six months.

Why a private list, not a shared one

A note is private. It becomes the team's work only when you make it a card.

Every project tool wants everything on the board. But half of what you write down in a day is not ready to be anyone else's problem, and putting it there anyway is how a board stops being trustworthy.

So the private half gets its own place, one keystroke from wherever you are, and the trip from private to shared is a decision you make rather than a default you forget to switch off. Keep your own notebook if you like it: this is for the thoughts that belong to a job.

What changes is that the good ones stop dying in a notes app the project cannot reach. A thought you had on the scaffold becomes a card with an owner, and nobody had to type it twice.

Questions about notes

Can anyone else see my notes?
No. Your notes are yours alone, including the ones you file under a project: the project name helps you remember which job a note belongs to, and it stays invisible to everyone else on it. A note becomes visible to the team only when you turn it into a card.
What is the difference between a note and a card?
A card is shared work on a project board, where the whole team sees it and someone owns it. A note is a private reminder for you. The two are one step apart: when a note turns out to be real work, you promote it to a card on the project you pick.
What if I write something down and never look at it again?
Give the note a reminder and Wyroo comes to you: a notification in the app, an email, and a browser push if you have those on. Each reminder fires once, and not at all if you tick the note off first. Your open notes also sit on your dashboard, where you can tick one without opening the list.
What happens to the note when it becomes a card?
The card lands at the top of that project's first column and opens straight away, so you can add an owner, a deadline or a file. The note is marked done and keeps a small link to the card it became, so the trail back is still there. You need permission to contribute to that project.
Can I bring the list I already keep?
Paste it in. The quick-add panel takes one note per line, so a list from a notebook app, a mail to yourself or a spreadsheet column arrives as separate notes in one go. There is no import to set up.
Does this replace my own to-do app?
Only for the part that belongs to the job. Notes are here so a thought you have while looking at a project does not have to leave Wyroo to be written down, and can become a card without being retyped. Groceries and gym sessions are welcome to stay where they are.
